The game's controls are just what you would expect: two attack buttons that can be combined with any direction key to perform over a dozen different attacks. Each, of course, comes with its own surprises. There is not only one scenario for each character, but several different ones that you will find really entertaining. There is also a wide range of arenas where you can fight. ![]() Goku, Naruto, Sonic, Mario, Link, Pikachu, Kirby, Ichigo or a black mage from Final Fantasy are just a few of the names that you will find. One of the most important parts of this type of game is its cast of playable characters, and Super Smash Flash 2 does not disappoint. The animations are pretty good too its a real treat to watch them move across the stage. Since this data can be seen as somewhat objective evidence of a character's power, we looked closely at this data and matched it with our own findings.Super Smash Flash 2 is a 2D fighting game that borrows many of its elements from the popular Nintendo franchise, Super Smash Bros, and offers an extremely similar gaming experience with a few unique features.įor example, despite having a very similar aesthetic (especially the entire menus), Super Smash Flash 2 uses an 8 bit visual style that will make all the retro-gamers very pleased. While it was not our top criteria, we did observe statistical data showing the win rates and tournament results of characters in offline competitions. Additionally, we thought hard about each character's matchup spread, and characters with a higher number of winning matchups were ranked more favorably. Through playing the game for hundreds of hours as and against the full roster, we considered strengths and weaknesses when putting together our tier list. Notable Changes to Our Tier List Character Alongside the fact that we have had more time to experiment with the powerful Fighter's Pass 2 characters, we have made some large scale changes to our tier list. With offline tournaments taking place again with higher and higher frequency, and top players demonstrating the potential of several characters that were previously seeing less results, the meta of Smash Ultimate has begun to see some large scale changes.
